Friend (and Ex) Angela Funke and company preemptively fled Baton Rouge ahead of Hurricane Katrina and are staying with friends in Round Rock. Here's hoping they can head back before the kitties get too testy.

Today I competed in a speech contest for the first time since May 1996. No tubs to lug about this time, though. I won the Wavemakers Toastmasters club level Table Topics contest, and will be going on to compete in the next level about 2 weeks hence.

As you can see, the big news is that my website has, at long last, been updated, including the addition of this here fancified “news” section, which will serve as an occasional update of events in my fast-paced life of glamor and excitement. Or something.
